PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having a low optical loss so that an excellent visibility and a bright image are given when the film is used in a liquid crystal display device, and further having a light-condensing characteristic. SOLUTION: The optical film is formed by laminating a light-scattering film 1 which is composed of at least two phases which scatter and pass light and have different refractive indices, and a reflection polarizer 2 which selectively transforms light into P or S. It is preferable that at lest one phase which has a larger refractive index of the light-scattering film has a column structure which is extended in the direction of the thickness of the film, and has a transmissivity not smaller than 4% in the direction of the normal line of the film. |
