<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable terminal equipment, a character inputting method, and a program for realizing a simple character input by executing a character input with a touch panel or the like in addition to a conventional character input with a key input at the same position by reducing a space. SOLUTION: A system changing part 11 recognizes that a 'touch pen system' or 'area assignment system' is selected as a character input system. When the 'touch pen system' is selected, a contact recognizing part 12a recognizes the contact with the pen or the like. A judging part 13 collates the orbit formed according to the contact with a registered character pattern. An output part 14a outputs the character information added to the corresponding character pattern. When the 'area assignment system' is selected, a contact recognizing part 12b inputs the character information corresponding to the area where the contact is recognized.</p> |
