<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an apparatus corresponding to a different field frequencies, based on a basic unit, when a digital image recorder/reproducing device as the basic unit which corresponds to a certain field frequency exists. SOLUTION: The digital image recorder comprises an input unit 1' for inputting video data, having a characteristic field frequency based on a specific format and executing its base band processing, and processing units 2, 4 designed to process the video data having a basic field frequency based on the basic format, to operate at a clock which corresponds to a predetermined sampling frequency, and to process to encode for a compression process and an error correction of the video data conforming to the basic format. A converter 11 is arranged between the input unit 1' and the units 2, 4. The converter 11 converts a sampling frequency of the video data in response to the ratio of the characteristic field frequency to the basic field frequency, while conforming the characteristic format to the basic format. The units 2 and 4 operate at a clock, in response to the converted sampling frequency and executes compression processing of the video data confirmed on the basic format and encoding for the error correction.</p> |
