<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control intake in correspondence with operation condition of an engine in a variable intake device for engine wherein a selector valve for switching between a communicated condition and a closed condition with respect to an intake collection chamber in a halfway of plural main intake passages is provided in an intake manifold. SOLUTION: An insertion hole 26 is provided in the intake manifold M in order to open plural first and second exit side sub intake passages 22 and 23 which are opened in the halfway of the main intake passage 18 respectively, and plural entrance side sub-intake passages 24 opened to the intake collection chamber 16. The selector valve 11A selectively switches among a condition of closing an opening part of the entrance side sub intake passage 24 to the insertion hole 26, a condition of communicating the first exit side sub intake passage 22 with the entrance side sub intake passage 24 and closing an opening part of the second exit side sub-intake passage 23 to the insertion hole 26, and a condition of closing an opening part of the first exit side sub intake passage 22 to the insertion hole 26 and communicating the entrance side sub- intake passage 24 with the second exit side sub intake passage 23.</p> |
