PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight banking structure for preventing the separation or cracking of an inorganic surfacing material, if formed directly on the faces of resin foamed blocks constituting a wall face. SOLUTION: The lightweight banking structure comprises the resin foamed blocks 4, 4a built up in stages with one side faces being an almost vertical wall face, wherein non-contact areas 13 each having a depth 3% or more of the thickness of the block is formed at four peripheries of the faces 11 on the wall face sides of the resin foamed blocks 4a constituting the wall face. Furthermore, a finishing structural material such as a concrete floor slab 5 is not formed above the non-contact areas 13.
