PURPOSE: A backlight and light source cover and light source reflector constituting the backlight are provided to eliminate the bright line generated due to the incident rays from an edge. CONSTITUTION: A light source reflecting plate(6) is made of metal sheet of 0.1mm, and spaced from a linear light source(5) to surround in the rear part of the linear light source. The L-shaped section is formed in a chassis(1), and a rib(1a) is formed for the light source reflecting plate and arranged longitudinally to the linear light source. The rib is spaced from an incident ray section(4) of a light guiding plate(10). The light source reflecting plate is bent downward in the contact portion of the rib, and an edge(4E) of the incident ray section of the light guiding plate is covered by the light source reflecting plate. |
