[Also in Division A4] A machine, e.g. coin controlled, dispensing cooled articles, e.g. ices, contains a magazine 2, 3 movable between a lower refrigerating space 9 to an upper refilling space 10, the dispensing opening being adjacent the junction of the spaces. A motor 1 rotates a pulley 6 carrying relay contacts 16 and secured to a longitudinally split hollow shaft 8 which descends through bearing 31, 32 facilitating the sliding of a magazine 3 containing radial stepped article compartments 18 and carrying a strip 27, 28 entering the shaft slot and a nut 26 engaging a fixed threaded rod 29 within the shaft 8. On rotary indexing of pulley 6, the magazine rotates and rises to present compartments successively at the electrically unlocked dispensing door. The door and bearings 31, 32 may have warming elements 34, 35. When the magazine is empty in the upper space, cap 10 is removed for refilling. |
