PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azomethine dye having an excellent hue and a high molecular extinction coefficient, and a dye forming coupler giving the dye, particular a yellow dye forming coupler and to provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having excellent hues, color developing properties and fastness by using the dye forming coupler. SOLUTION: The dye forming coupler is represented by formula (I) wherein Q is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form an N-containing ring; R is a substituent, Het is a heterocycle; and X is H or a group which is released by coupling reaction with the oxidized body of a developing agent.
