PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle inspection system capable of efficiently carrying out a legal inspection and the like for an automobile in a short time. SOLUTION: A vehicle inspection line 5 is divided into a first inspection station 11 for mainly executing a visual inspection, a second inspection station 12 for executing an inspection by a measuring instrument and a third inspection station 13 for executing decomposition, checks and inspections for a lower surrounding part by using a lift along a moving passage 8 of the automobile of the inspection object in the order from its entrance 3 side. Inspection items other than the inspection items by the measuring instrument are allotted to the first and third inspection stations, and the automobiles are sequentially moved and inspected, so that efficient and rapid inspection work can be realized.
