PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for manufacturing hydrogen fluoride by making fluorite react with sulfuric acid to generate hydrogen fluoride. SOLUTION: The new method for manufacturing hydrogen fluoride in which fluorite is made to react with sulfuric acid in a reaction vessel so as to generate hydrogen fluoride is provided. In the method, the reaction is carried out under >=101.3 kPa (atmospheric pressure) partial pressure of vapor phase hydrogen fluoride in the reaction vessel. In the method, acidic calcium sulfate being an intermediate product is decomposed under low temperature by making hydrogen fluoride act as catalyst, and temperature inside the reaction vessel is preferably set to be, for example, 50-150 deg.C.
