PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of completely meeting a demand for much further miniaturization by miniaturizing the image forming device much further. SOLUTION: A part of a belt cleaning device 30 for cleaning an intermediate transfer belt 11, to put it concretely, a bending roller 31 and a fur brush 32 functioning as a cleaning member are laid out to be housed in space formed by bending the belt 11 toward inside by using the roller 31. Thus, the space in the device occupied by the belt cleaning device 30 is made small. Then, bias having the same polarity as toner is applied to the bending roller 31, and bias having a polarity reverse to the toner is applied to the fur brush 32. Therefore, most of the toner left after transfer on the intermediate transfer belt 11 is recovered by the fur brush 32 and the toner left after transfer whose polarity is reversed is recovered by the bending roller 31.
