PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle a paper stripping device as one unit, to further enhance assemblability and to enhance space efficiency. SOLUTION: The paper stripping device is mounted on spindles 24 arranged along the width direction of a photosensitive drum and a plurality of stripping claws 25 are provided freely rotatably around the spindles 24. A compression spring 27 to rotate the stripping claws 25 in the direction to pressurize them on the photosensitive drum and a rotational cum 30 to transfer the stripping claws 25 to the width direction of the photosensitive drum are also provided. The stripping claws 25, the compression spring 27, the rotational cum 30 and an image density detection sensor 29 detecting the image density on the photosensitive drum are mounted on one substrate 21 and the spindles 24 on which the stripping claw 25 are mounted are independently provided by every stripping claw 25.
