PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine system and an operating method thereof adaptable to operation statuses of a factory or a plant. SOLUTION: The gas turbine system S comprises at least gas turbine power generation equipment 10 and exhaust heat recovery equipment 20 for recovering exhaust heat from a gas turbine 11 of the gas turbine power generation equipment 10. In the gas turbine system S, an air supply mode, a power generation mode, and a normal mode can be selected.
