<p>When a digital recording/reproducing apparatus existing as a basic apparatus has a field frequency of 60 fields/second or a frame frequency of 30 frames/second, a device recording/reproducing a source video and audio signal having a different frequency than this field frequency or the frame frequency can be realized. An input block (3) of the digital recording apparatus has a unique field frequency (24 frames/second or the like), receives audio data based on a unique format, and performs its base band processing. A processing block (4) has a basic field frequency (60 fields/second) and is designed to process audio data based on a basic format. The processing block (4) operates with clock in accordance with the sampling frequency and performs encoding for error correction of the audio data appropriate for the basic format. Between them, there is provided a conversion block (9) for converting the sampling frequency of the audio data in accordance with a ratio of the unique field frequency against the basic field frequency while adjusting the unique format to t the basic format. The processing block (4) operates with the clock in accordance with the converted sampling frequency and performs encoding for error correction.</p> |
