ELECTROCHEMICAL BATTERY HAVING ELECTRODE CONTAINING CARBONATE ADDITIVES IN ELECTRODE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE MIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical battery belonging to either of a primary chemical system or a secondary chemical system. SOLUTION: In either case of the first or the second chemical system, this battery has an anode made of an anode material that is capable of intercalating or de-intercalating the lithium ion bonded to the anode made of lithium or the cathode made of a cathode active substance. The carbonate compound is mixed with either of the anode material or cathode active substance before it contacts a current collector. The pair of electrodes obtained by the above, are activated by a non-aqueous electrolyte. The electrolyte flows in the electrodes and enters from the corner to the corner of the electrodes and dissolves the carbonate additives in the electrolyte solution. Then, the carbonate dissolved substance can contact the lithium and makes a membrane protection layer having electrical insulation and ion conductivity on it.
