PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which surely detects management information of a recording medium which has been tampered and surely verifies its correctness. SOLUTION: An information processor 20 verifies the correctness of the recording medium 10, having a 1st recording area where the management information is recorded and a 2nd recording area, where ciphered management information is recorded and has control parts (24, 26) which read the management information and ciphered management information out of the recording medium and control the decoding of the read ciphered management information and a comparison part (25), which decides whether or not the read management information and the ciphered management information have specified correspondence relation and approves the adequacy of the recording medium, when the decision result is affirmative.
