ICE THERMAL STORAGE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an ice piece to be always melted by reducing the heat exchanging amount of a preheating heat exchanger as much as possible. SOLUTION: An ice thermal storage apparatus comprises the preheating heat exchanger 10 provided between a heat sink unit 2 and a pressure reducing means 3, and a filter 12 provided at the upstream side of the exchanger 10 in a water circuit 9. With a refrigerant used as a heat source, water 7 removed from a thermal storage tank 6 is heated. Thus, the ice piece can be always melted without heat loss as the storage apparatus. Since the ice pieces are physically removed by the filter, capability necessary for the preheating heat exchanger can be designed smaller.
