BRACE JOINT HARDWARE FOR WOODEN BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems in joint hardware: in which the amount of connectors is proportional to the size of the hardware, the size of the hardware is limited for wooden structures of finite lengths, leading to disadvantages from the standpoint of cost; and that a decrease in strength may be caused by the loosening of the hardware and the connectors at initial stages. SOLUTION: Protrusions shaped like pawls are fitted to the hardware and tightly connect the hardware to braces by piecing the pawls into the braces and upper and lower wooden structures so as to eliminate initial loosening and provide full resistance to tensile forces applied to the braces, while reducing the amount of connectors.
