PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the cleaning capability of the moving handrail of a passenger conveyor with a single band-shaped cleaning body. SOLUTION: A polishing material part 22 for scraping off contamination on the surface of the moving handrail and a wiping material part 21 for wiping off contamination on the surface of the moving handrail are installed on the single band-shaped cleaning body. After the contamination on the surface of the moving handrail is scraped off by the polishing material part 22, the daily adhered contamination on the surface of the moving handrail is wiped off by the wiping material part 21 to prevent the contamination on the moving handrail, thereby the contamination not removed merely by wiping can be removed, and the cleaning effect of the moving handrail can be increased.
