PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce powdered indium oxide from which a high density sintered compact with >=5.3 g/cm<3> sintered density can be manufactured, and powdered indium hydroxide being a precursor thereof, and further to provide a method for manufacturing the powdered indium oxide and the powdered indium hydroxide and their application. SOLUTION: The powered indium oxide, from which the high density sintered compact with >=5.3 g/cm<3> sintered density can be manufactured, is manufactured by turning the indium hydroxide into needle crystals and suppressing agglomeration in the state of indium hydroxide and further by controlling particle diameters of the needle crystals so as to control the agglomeration and particle diameters of the powdered indium oxide obtained by calcinations. |
