PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a current refrigerant compressor using a method of estimating the oil concentration on the basis of the temperature of the mixture fluid to control the operation of the refrigerant compressor when the oil concentration exceeds a certain degree that both of a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor for detecting the pressure inside a shell are necessary to complicate the structure and that the control corresponding to the uneven distribution of the oil concentration is impossible. SOLUTION: A pair of electrodes are provided in a lower part inside the shell of the refrigerant compressor. Oil concentration of the mixture fluid is detected on the basis of an electrostatic capacity of the pair of electrodes, and the operation is controlled on the basis of the detected oil concentration.
