PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill reception/payment device with a simple structure having easy-to-manage cashboxes. SOLUTION: In this bill reception/payment device 1, the cashboxes 400A, 400B, 500 are respectively attached with tags 90 storing data on the number of bills. A device body of the device 1 is provided with antennas 8A, 8B, 8C capable of communicating with the respective tags 90 of the cashboxes 400A, 400B, 500, and a selector 87 selecting one of the antennas 8A, 8B, 8C. A data control part 88 writes the data into each the tag 90 of the cashbox 400A, 400B, 500 via the antenna 8A, 8B, 8C selected by the selector 87, and reads the data from each the tag 90.
