SOLUTION: When the differences between the transfer speeds to the 1st and 2nd information signals by one pickup head to an information signal recording medium and the transfer speeds of the 1st and 2nd information signals in a buffer memory are absorbed, the 1st and 2nd information signals are reproduced, so that (Ya+Yb)>=Rp×(Ra+Rb)×(Tab+Tba)/(Rp-Ra-Rb) is satisfied, where respectively Rp is the transfer rate to the 1st and 2nd information signals by one pickup head, Ra the transfer rate of the 1st information signal, Rb the transfer rate of the 2nd information signal, Ya the recording capacity of the 1st information signal, Yb the recording capacity of the 2nd information signal, Tab the seek time of the movement of the pickup head from a 1st area to a 2nd area on the information signal recording medium, and Tba the seek time of the movement of the pickup head from the 2nd area to the 1st area on the information signal recording medium.
