PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high facial-pressure resistance member which has high compressive residual stress in the surface layer part, and in which initial peeling caused by the intrusion and embrittlement of hydrogen can be prevented, and which is provided with excellent rolling fatigue resistance, and a production method for the high facial-pressure resistant member. SOLUTION: The surface compressive residual stress in the rolling part of the high facial-pressure resistance member consisting of steel for machine structures, e.g. containing 0.15 to 1.2% C, 0.8 to 2.5% Cr, 0.15 to 1.5% Mo and 0.05 to 1.5% Si is controlled to >=700 MPa. Further, an alloy film with the average film thickness of 0.2 to 20μm containing, e.g. 65 to 85% Ni is formed on the surface layer of the rolling part.
