PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high ultraviolet ray illuminance using also an ultraviolet ray emitted to a direction not directed toward a work. SOLUTION: This lamp is provided with a light emitting tube LT equipped sealedly with an internal electrode 2 extended along an axial direction of a slim tubular air-tight container 1 comprising an ultraviolet ray transmitting material, sealed with excimer generating gas, and arranged with an external electrode 3 in an outer face of the container 1, a slim tubular outer tube OT for storing the light emitting tube LT, and a reflection plate R having an ultraviolet ray reflecting property arranged along a longitudinal direction of the outer tube OT inside the outer tube OT. In the light emitting tube LT, the external electrode 3 comprises a mesh-like electrode comprising a coil of plural turns wound to contact with the outer face of the container 1, and the reflection plate R comprises a conductive substance having the ultraviolet ray reflecting property and may be arranged to contact with the plural turns of the coil constituting the external electrode 3.
