PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing arm support device for a magnetic head, which can be applied to a small-sized, thin hard disk drive device, is small-sized and thin, and has a small diameter. SOLUTION: The swing arm support device holds in a swinging state the swing arm holding the magnetic head by using a couple of ball bearings; and the couple of ball bearings are arranged radially in parallel, so that they do not overlap on the same axial line and the external-ring outer peripheral surface of the ball bearing, which is positioned radially inside and the internal-ring inner peripheral surface of the ball bearing which is positioned radially inside are fixed to each other.
