PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic head, by which the reliability and the yield of a lamination type magnetic head excellent in high frequency characteristics are enhanced and glass which does not contain Pb can be used. SOLUTION: The melting point of the joining glass used when a metal magnetic film is held by non-magnetic substrates is heightened and the joining is performed in the glass transition temperature region more than the yield point and less than the softening point. The molding to a winding wire window is performed in the temperature range less than the yield point of the joining glass. The melting point of the used glass can be heightened, reliability of the magnetic head is enhanced and the glass which does not contain harmful substances of Pb and the like can be used.
