摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase transition recording type optical disk wherein initialization process is not needed and a manufacturing method therefor and to provide a phase transition recording type optical disk wherein even a material having higher crystallization temperature can be formed in a crystalline film in an as-deposited amorphous state and which has high shelf reliability of recording and is suitable for high density recording and the manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The phase transition recording type optical disk characteristically has at least a lower dielectric layer, a crystallization promotion layer, a recording layer 1, a recording layer 2, an upper dielectric layer and a reflecting radiation layer on a substrate. The manufacturing method for the phase transition recording type optical disk is characterized in that the recording layer 1 and the recording layer 2 are film-deposited by a sputtering method by using targets having the same composition and film-deposition is performed using gas containing at least Ar, when the recording layer 2 is film-deposited.
