<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible branch pipe coupler which has excellent seal performance, which can be composed of fewer members to reduce cost, and which facilitates installation. SOLUTION: This flexible branch pipe coupler for connecting a branch pipe S to a main pipe H such as a sewer is provided with a coupler main body 2 of rubber comprising a base part 3 to be densely fixed to an outer surface of the main pipe H, and an attachment part 4 raised from the base part 3 on which the branch pipe S is engaged to be attached. A ring 7 is engaged in a circular groove 6 provided on an outer circumferential surface at an upper end of the attachment part 4, and on an inner circumferential surface of the upper end of the attachment part 4, a fork-shaped seal lip 5 comprising an inner lip 5a directed diagonally downward and an outer lip 5b directed roughly straight upward is circumferentially protruded. As the branch pipe S is engaged and attached to the attachment part 4, the inner lip 5a is pressed by the branch pipe S to fall in a tight adhesion state to position a tip of the inner lip 5a below a middle point N of a circular groove 6. By rotation moment M of the inner lip 5a, the outer lip 5b is tightly applied to the branch pipe S to form a double seal structure.</p> |
