PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, an image forming device, a method for image processing and a recording medium for reproducing a more desirable image by preventing the occurrence of a texture. SOLUTION: A gradation reproduction processing part 11 in the image processor 1 is provided with a quantization processing part 14, a quantization error spreading part 17, an input density deciding part 16, a blue noise mask 21 and a comparator 22. When the density value of input image data is not lower than a density deciding value, the part 16 outputs a control signal A to the part 14. When the comparator 22 compares stored a quantization error with noise stored in the mask 21 and the noise stored in the mask 21 is selected, a control signal B is outputted to the part 14. The part 14 decides the signal A and the signal B and switches a method for quantization based on the deciding result.
