PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To balance the electromagnetic field coupling in a directional coupler. SOLUTION: In the directional coupler where a slit provided in a main line is opposed to a slit provided in a sub line to couple a radio wave of the main line to the sub line, the slit part 13 of a coaxial cable 10 acting like the main line is covered with a fluororesin made tube 40 and an electromagnetic component of the coaxial cable 10 is coupled to the coaxial cable 20 via the tube 40.
