PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-controlled oscillator that does not require a wide chip area, when a resonance circuit formed of a variable capacitance diode and an inductor is integrated in the oscillator. SOLUTION: The inductor 100 is formed of a wiring layer, having a prescribed number of turns on a semiconductor substrate and a variable capacitance diode 200 is formed on the semiconductor substrate, so that the wiring layer of the inductor 100 may be used commonly as one electrodes 301 of the diode 200; and in addition, the other electrode 201 of the diode 200 is formed at another location of the semiconductor substrate, by taking out the electrode 201 to another location.
