PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake duct that can ensure at least a minimal air quantity necessary enough to preclude an engine stall and can prevent an intrusion of rainwater into a duct body even when a hood flapped by the wind sticks on an air inlet. SOLUTION: The intake duct 4 has the air inlet 7 opening onto a deck 6 in an upper portion of the duct body 11 installed behind a cab 3 of a transportation vehicle, and has a plurality of louvers 9 (water intrusion preventing means) in the air inlet 7. Around the air inlet 7, a drip channel 13 is protruded toward the deck 6, and a right and a left sidewall portion 13c of the drip channel 13 are provided with auxiliary air inlets 14. An air intake from the sides of the drip channel 13 via the auxiliary air inlets 14 is directed to a front face of each louver 9.
