APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING OSTEOPOROSIS USING ULTRASONIC WAVE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for diagnosing an osteoporosis using an ultra wave are provided to diagnose an initial progressive step of the osteoporosis by utilizing the ultrasonic wave to measure density of bone. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting ultrasonic converter(1) converts an electric signal to an ultrasonic wave by using a piezoelectric phenomenon. A receiving ultrasonic converter(2) converts the ultrasonic wave to the electric signal by using a piezoelectric phenomenon. The transmitting ultrasonic converter(1) and the receiving ultrasonic converter(2) are combined with the first and the second wedges(3,4). The first and the second wedges(3,4) are adhered to interval shaft(6). An interval control handle(7) is adhered to the interval shaft(6). A wedge fixing portion(8) maintains an interval between the first and the second wedges(3,4).
