PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery that has an excellent output characteristics in low temperature. SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises a positive electrode which has a positive electrode active substance made of a lithium metal oxide capable of occlusion and discharge of lithium and an electrolyte in which lithium salt is dissolved in an organic solvent. In the positive electrode, a silane coupling agent, which has an organic reaction radical made of epoxy group and/or amino group and an inorganic reaction radical made of methoxy group and/or ethoxy group, is dispersed. As the silane coupling agent is dispersed in the positive electrode, the wettability of the positive electrode and the electrolyte at low temperature in which the liquidity of the electrolyte drops, is improved, thereby, a battery having excellent output characteristics is obtained. |
