PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both proofreading operation on a screen and conventional proofreading operation in a page space in combination. SOLUTION: A proofreading administrator A sends a document layer to be proofread and bibliographic data to a person B in charge of proofreading. The person B in charge of proofreading when doing proofreading operation on a screen displays the document layer and a proofreading layer one over the other on the screen of a computer Cb inputs proofreading indications directly onto the proofreading layer and sends the proofreading layer including the proofreading indications back to the proofreading administrator A. When proofreading operation is done in a page space, on the other hand, an object proofread image 11 in the document layer is outputted on a document 10 for proofreading by a printer 100, proofreading indications 14 are written in special ink, and only the image of the proofreading indications 14 is read-in onto the proofreading layer by a scanner 200 which can selectively input the wavelength of the special ink and sent back to the proofreading administrator A. The bibliographic data are outputted as a bar code 12 and read-in again. |
