PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new heterocyclic compound, a method for producing the same and the use of the compound as an insecticide. SOLUTION: The heterocyclic compound is expressed by formula (I) [the group of formula (II) is the group of formula (III) (Z<1> is O or S; and Z<2> is CH2 , O or S) or the group of formula (IV); A is a 5- or 6-membered heteroaryl group containing 1-3 hetero atoms selected from S, O and N and optionally substituted with a halogen or a 1-4C alkyl; X is CH or N; Y is NO2 or CN; and R<1> is H or CH3 ].
