The device comprises means for elaborating a dynamic polychromatic image such as comprising a polychromatic liquid-crystal film (7) and a rigid surface (3) part of vehicle (1) for supporting the image where the film is laid out. The rigid surface (3) is transparent and multilayered, and the film (7) is laid out between two layers of the rigid surface. The device comprises a manual control (15) for displaying information, and a transmitter-receiver (12) of data provided by a distant transmitter-receiver. The rigid surface is that of the rear window of the vehicle and is made of a transparent multilayered material such as ''Plexiglas'' (TM). The film and the lower surface of the rear window are connected to an image coding device (8) by the intermediary of a link (9) for transmitting signals which the film transcribes into an image. The coding device (8) is connected by a link (10) to a control set (11) which comprises the transmitter-receiver and a control unit (13) connected by a link (14) to the manual control mounted inside the vehicle. The vehicle also comprises a camera (16) whose objective is oriented to the rear, and an overhead display device (17) for displaying images captured by the camera. A variant of the device comprises a polychromatic liquid-crystal screen laid out on a flat rear part of the vehicle so that the formed image is projected by optical reflection to the rigid surface of the rear window. The method for displaying information on a vehicle includes the elaboration of dynamic polychromatic image and the display on a rigid surface of the vehicle. |
