PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for printing a photographed image, a digital camera and a printer, which enables both the user and the manufacturer of the digital camera to make profit appropriately. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 generates a reduced image from a photographed image and stores it in a memory card 17, while the photographed image is transferred via a base station to an image server 2, along with the file name of the reduced image and stored therein, before the photographed image is deleted from a printer 3. When the memory card 17 is set in the printer 3, the printer 3 displays the list of reduced images in the memory card 17 and the user selects a desired image, and subsequently, the photographed image corresponding to the reduced images thus selected is downloaded from the image server 2 and printed. The manufacturer can make a profit, by charging at the time of printing, and the user of the digital camera is required to pay only the photographed images which are to his satisfaction. |
