PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal that can quickly conduct image pickup operation for a digital camera. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal is provided with an image pickup means 12, a liquid crystal display section 15, a control section that allows the liquid crystal display section 15 to display a video image picked up by the image pickup means 12, a finder unit 30 attachable to/detachable from a terminal section of the mobile information terminal 10, and a finder unit mount detection means that detects that the finder unit 30 is mounted on the terminal section. When the finder unit mount detection means detects the mount of the finder unit 30, the control section is set to an image pickup mode to attain image pickup by the image pickup means 12. |
