PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge internal water-containing sludge smoothly and to control the discharge easily in a sludge hopper and sludge treatment equipment. SOLUTION: The sludge hopper capable of storing water-containing sludge and discharging the water-containing sludge comprises a hopper body for storing the water-containing sludge and discharging the water-containing sludge from bottom delivery and discharge ports, delivery screws 24 each arranged in a bottom of the hopper body and provided with a spiral vane part 23 on the periphery of a shaft body 24a, and delivery screw drive mechanisms 25 for rotatively driving the delivery screws. Each delivery screw is arranged just over and across the delivery and discharge port, and the spiral vane part is rotated in opposite spiral directions on the right and left bounding just over the delivery and discharge port.
