<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for distributing load, with which packets can be distributed to the links or servers of distribution destinations as uniformly as possible in proportion to a weight value at arbitrary time. SOLUTION: The weight value of distribution and the cumulative value or integrated value corresponding to the distribution are held for each distribution destination and when a distribution event occurs, a received packet is distributed to the distribution destination having a minimum quotient obtained by dividing the cumulative value with the weight value or a minimum integrated value. Thus, the packets can be distributed to the respective distribution destinations as uniformly as possible in proportion to the weight value at arbitrary time.</p> |
