PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide member for a sliding door embedded in a floor to which the users cannot notice the existence of a projection from the floor even though the floor finish is carpet or flooring. SOLUTION: This guide member for the sliding door is provided with an elastic flange (3) which is curved downward to the outer side of the peripheral edge of the opening of the outer cylinder (1) in the guide member for the sliding door equipped with the outer cylinder (1) embedded in the floor in a state where the opening is left on the opening and a guide pin 2 which guides the running of the sliding door projected upward from the opening when the sliding door is stored inside the outer cylinder (1) and passes upward and guides the running of the sliding door.
