<p>A head slider having an air inflow end and an air outflow end, comprising a front rail, having a flat air bearing surface for producing a floating force during the rotation of a disk, formed on the surface thereof opposed to the disk adjacent to the air inflow end and a pair of rear rails, having a flat air bearing surface for producing a floating force during the rotation of the disk, formed on the surface opposed to the disk adjacent to the air outflow end, a groove formed on the downstream side of the front rail for producing a negative pressure by expanding the air temporarily compressed by the front rail, a transducer formed at the air outflow end where one of the rear rails is positioned, and a plurality of pads formed on the front rail and on either of the pair of rear rails, wherein each pad comprises an inclined tip surface with a specified inclination angle where the height of the pad on the air inflow end side is higher than that on the air outflow end side.</p> |
