PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof wall for road allowing a coping to be easily installed in a newly installed sound wall as well as even when remodeling a wall to the soundproof wall by mounting soundproof panels between the columns of an existing protective fence, allowing the coping to develop the function of a handrail with high safety when the soundproof wall is installed between a footway and a roadway, and allowing an operator in a car running on the roadway to see the coping positioned continuously in straight line and developing a sight line guidance function. SOLUTION: This sound wall for road comprises columns vertically installed parallel with each other at specified intervals along the road, soundproof panels installed between the columns, and coping disposed between the columns and the tip part of the soundproof panels. The coping is installed at the upper ends of the soundproof panes, and a translucent plate is vertically fixed by the coping.
