PURPOSE: A computer device having a function to connect to the Internet directly and a method thereof are provided to simultaneously and instantly connect Internet as starting a computer by pressing one function operation key. CONSTITUTION: The function operation key(10) is installed to a computer, and is set to directly connect to the Internet, and receive an e-mail. If the function operation key(10) is pressed, an operation signal is generated. An interrupt circuit(12) generates an interrupt signal by receiving the operation signal. A controller(14) generates a reading signal by receiving the interrupt signal. A switch controller(16) controls the interrupt signal reception and transmits the interrupt signal to a power operation system(20). A power operation switch(30) controls the power operation system(20) by transmitting a power operation signal, and starts the power of the computer.
