PURPOSE: A method of updating software of a mobile station is provided to build a function of a software updating application program of a mobile station in software of the mobile station, to update the software newly-changed through a wireless Internet, thereby performing a self software updating work in a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A controller of a mobile station requests a wireless Internet server a new software version through a base station and an exchange(S301). The wireless Internet server transmits the built new software version to the controller to download the version(S302). The controller stores the new software version in a temporary storage area(S303). The controller searches whether the downloaded new software version exists in the temporary storage area(S304). If so, the controller reads a new software file stored in the temporary storage area with byte units(S305). The controller records the new software version in an ROM of the mobile station in order(S306).
