PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharging characteristics by improving the welded strength of a terminal and a current collector. SOLUTION: The alkaline secondary battery electrode comprises a band shape current collector 11 in which a cathode or an anode active substance is filled and a plurality of cathode or anode terminals 12a, 12b welded to the current collector 11. The current collector 11 is an unwoven cloth applied with nickel plating, and one or two or more of cathode or anode terminals 12a, 12b are welded to the current collector 11 through a metal tape 13. The metal tape 13 is welded to the current collector 11 in the longitudinal direction and one or two or more of cathode or anode terminals 12a, 12b extend in the width direction of the current collector 11 and are welded to the metal tape 13 in a state protruding from the current collector. The alkaline secondary battery comprises a generating body constructed by winding or laminating these electrodes through a separator, a battery case housing the generating body, and a sealing plate 22 constructed capable of sealing the battery case. |
