PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution for embedding and detecting processing of a durable electronic watermark. SOLUTION: A plurality of electronic watermarks are generated by using different keys according to the feature or the time passage of contents and embedded to a processing object signal. The electronic watermark detection processing from an electronic watermark embedded signal becomes nearly impossible for a third party who does not know a plurality of keys, and illegal detection of electronic watermarks and dishonest alteration can be prevented. Furthermore, by extracting the feature of the contents in a right detector, correct electronic watermarks are carried out efficiently.
