PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high resolution and high accuracy of a flat stepping motor without increasing the diameter. SOLUTION: The stepping motor comprises a first unit motor comprising a first unit rotor R11 rotatably supporting a magnetic disc where a permanent magnet magnetized alternately with N poles and S poles through a specified gap is disposed oppositely to the coil surface of a first unit stator S11 arranged radially with a specified number of air-core coils on an electrically insulated magnetic disc, and a second unit motor comprising a second unit rotor R12 and a second unit stator S12 arranged coaxially through a nonmagnetic disc by inverting the structure of the first unit motor. Position of a coil formed in each unit stator is displaced by 1/2 pitch angle, position of a pole formed in each unit rotor is displaced by 1/4 pitch angle, and the coils are connected in star so that a plurality of phases can be excited. |
